Ramsgate main beach is a favorite destination for families on holiday, lifeguarded and with its own tidal pool, offers safe swimming for the whole family. The Blue Lagoon and Cocktail Deck overlook the main beach and offer an all day restaurant and nightlife with the best view around. Just a short walk through Tanglewood forest to the famous Waffle House Restaurant.
Just 1.5km south of the main beach is Ski Boat bay, the locals favorite beach. Great waves for swimming, surfing and bodyboarding, lifeguarded on weekends. Grab a fish and chips and a cold beer at The Hibiscus Beach Cafe. Enjoy watching the boats launch and seeing the fisherman’s catch of the day, always exciting for the kids. Rocks to the South offer good protection on more windy days, around here are little rock pools which are fun for splashing around or netting some fish.
