At your BillsBest holiday home we have taken extra precautions to protect both you and our staff against the risk of infection.

Sanitizing with micro atomizing fogger - professional enviro friendly system & internationally recognized product.

To ensure staff safety  accommodation is sanitized after every checkout with special attention being given to kitchens and bathrooms.  After fully servicing and preparing the accommodation for your arrival, we then re-sanitize the accommodation using the same system. The accommodation is then sealed awaiting your arrival.

linen and towels are sanitized

by washing with detergent and sanitizer, dried, and then ironed on the hottest setting to ensure they are sanitary.

All non-essential items removed

eg. scatter cushions, throws etc, have been removed.

Housekeeping and servicing

to minimize contact between guests and staff we offer a linen and towel change every fourth day. A daily clean and tidy service can however be arranged if required. Please contact BillsBest office on 0824516102 or 0393144837 for more detail of the service that can be provided and cost. If you intend making use of this service please provide at least 48 hrs notice if possible.

Self check In

Guests staying at our private holiday homes can self check In. Payment is settled before arrival, keys are sanitized and then sealed in an envelope for your collection.

B&B is not serving Breakfasts

At the Boathouse B&B we won’t be serving until further notice to decrease risk. Over this time we have applied a 10% discount on B&B rates.

Sanitize Hands

Hand sanitizer has been provided in the accommodation for your use.

Social distancing of 2m

Social distancing of 2m  is required in all shared areas such as parking areas and swimming pool, only in cases where those facilities are shared. 

Masks

Wearing of a cloth mask is required in all shared areas.

Record of guest details

The following details, of ALL guests staying in the accommodation must be provided prior to arrival. ID number, residential address and cell phone number. In addition, for foreign guests, we require passport no’s and nationalities to be provided.

We have an extensive risk mitigation protocol in place. This is summarised below:

Covid-19 awareness training is an ongoing management priority,  including ways in which the virus is transmitted, presenting symptoms, and what to do if you start to show symptoms. 

A Covid-19 risk assessment has been undertaken in all aspects of business operations and necessary operational changes have been implemented. Key risk factors are guest or staff contacting or transmitting the virus through contaminated surfaces or close interpersonal interactions. 

Mitigation of risk is essential and overseen by our 2 appointed safety officers: Melanie in housekeeping and Christo in maintenance. This includes comprehensive and repetitive staff training and awareness, professional sanitization of accommodation between guests stays, limiting contact between guest and staff to the bare minimum, proper use of PPE when on duty, regular routine cleaning protocols in all shared areas, proper and regular use of hand sanitizer or hand washing. Staff have received guidance on the necessity of, and how to stay safe at home and when commuting. Special precautions have been taken,and training provided to employees who have been assessed as at higher risk .
A comprehensive risk analysis and separate training manual is used for this together with a record of training and updates.

In the event that anyone shows symptoms, the South African Department of Health advises first phoning the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) helpline over going straight to a medical facility, to prevent potential contamination. The NICD hotline number is 080 002 9999.

While no one can predict the path of this virus, we are continuously monitoring developments and doing all we can to reduce the risk of potential contamination or spread of disease.
