Greengates Cottage is superbly situated in the old village area of Port Edward, set in a fairytale garden with lovely sea views. This quaint private cottage is 100m from the sea and 100m from the village centre. A ten minute stroll along the sea front brings you to the main swimming beach and lagoon. Greengates has an excellent layout for two couples and is wonderful for small children and pets. (Pet friendly only by prior arrangement) "What lovely character and the best position in Port Edward"

Greengates Cottage is fully equipped for four adults & two children. All linen and bath towels are supplied. Equipped with a colour TV with DSTV (22 channels), DVD player, microwave, large fridge-freezer combination, stove and other kitchen utensils. There is a portable braai on the large covered veranda. A lock-up garage for one car & single covered carport is provided.

The cottage consists of two bedrooms both with double beds, and two bathrooms, (one bedroom with en-suite bathroom leads off the veranda), a large open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen area, and a large covered veranda provided with patio furniture. A take-two bed is in the dinning area for two children. A full security system & safe is provided for the security of both your and our belongings.

Items you should remember to take to make your stay more comfortable include: beach towels, toilet rolls & toiletries, mosquito pads in summer, charcoal, and of course food.

PRUDENCE, our housekeeper, sometimes does personal laundry for guests in her free time. This is not part of her daily servicing, if you require this service please discuss fees with Prudence.

Take the N-2 South Coast Highway from Durban and travel ± 170 km to Port Edward. Turn left towards the sea at the Port Edward robot. Follow the road going downhill ±1.5km until you reach "The Webb" Pizza Place, on your left. The Post Office will be on your right. (The Spar Supermarket is about 50m further down the road on the left.) Turn right into Harrow Road as you reach "The Webb". Greengates is Lot 191 Harrow Road, and is the second entrance you can drive into on your left. Look for the green sliding gate. (Look for BillBest sign). Prudence, our housekeeper, is on site and will be expecting you.
